May 13th was the beginning of the deconstruction of the historic Cokato Creamery building on the corner of Broadway and Hwy 12. The building needed to come down for the expansion of the intersection to allow for large trucks to more easily make their turns. Previous efforts had been made to see if grants could be obtained to help restore and preserve the building, however, it was determined that too many changes had been made for the building to qualify.
